Trust Issues: How, When and Why to Trust A Virtual Assistant with Your Business and Brand

“It takes a lot of courage to show your dreams to someone else.” -Erma Bombeck

It can be scary to talk to a Virtual Assistant about your future plans for your business. You may feel that they will not share the same vision. Maybe you think that they can’t possibly “get” you, your business, or your brand. I respect that. However, perhaps reframing these ideas may help you to open your heart to possibilities.

In reality, a suitable VA can be an effective partner in your business, helping you see the systems and procedures that can be implemented to reach your goals. You’ll find that it’s also helpful to bounce your ideas off of someone else. You’ll find that if you are a good fit, a VA will ask questions to understand your vision, your mission and your heart-centred goals. The support that you can obtain can be invaluable and help you achieve success in your business.

How do you know who is a “suitable” VA? Have more than just written communication. Get on a video call with them and watch to see how they respond to your ideas. Are they too eager to jump in and solve your perceived problem? Or do they listen carefully to your needs before suggesting a solution? Do they align with your vision? Do you sense an air of excitement about what lies ahead for you? Have some probing questions that will help you to see if they align with your present and future hopes for your business. Read and listen to testimonials about them, what about the review appeals to you? Or perhaps something does not resonate. You will be drawn to the right person with intuition and your purpose-driven perspective.

I would love to hear about the direction you’re taking your business. Are we a good fit? Can I help you catapult your business to reach your dreams? Let’s chat and find out. I can’t wait to meet you!

Vision Boards: Do They Work?

Vision Boards: Do They Work?

Sure, you have a few motivational Pinterest boards. Isn’t that good enough to keep you motivated?

Do you have a clear picture of what you are working towards in your professional and personal life? A vision board can help put all those thoughts and aspirations into a board that represents in a physical way what you have in your head. In that way, it can help you keep focused and visualize yourself at your end goal. There’s something to be said for that vision to be represented in a tangible way that you can touch and that is in front of you can be a positive motivator.

But is it just a matter of creating the board, putting it in a closet and forgetting about it? No! It would be best if you put it in a spot that you see every day. Somewhere that you will look at it, not just fleetingly, but for a few minutes each day, if not multiple times a day. It’s essential to take a moment and reinforce it in your mind’s eye. And you need to take positive steps towards those goals. That can mean mini, incremental steps, but in the right direction and with the intentionality of your dreams behind it.

How do you create a vision board? First, get either some poster board or a cork bulletin board. Start looking at magazines and cut out pictures and words that represent something meaningful to you. Here’s where that Pinterest board comes in handy, lol. Print out (in colour!) the pictures that resonated with you, the inspirational quotes and sayings, the spiritual, emotional, and physical manifestations of your goals and who you are and who you want to be. Google and Instagram are also excellent sources. Include not only your end results but images that reflect your journey to your destination as well. When you finish compiling those images of incredible destinations, dream houses, etc., then lay it out in a way that speaks to you, and attach them to the board.

Don’t let this board become stagnant! Keep adding, repositioning and switching out images to keep it fresh and so that your brain keeps looking at it with anticipation instead of just tuning it out.

You will find that it may be beneficial to have multiple vision boards for different topics or areas of your life. There is no perfect way to do this, just let the flow happen. Take some time to sit with the process and enjoy the creative process.

I would love to hear from you, and see your completed boards!
