What Is A Virtual Assistant?
A Virtual Assistant is a self-employed freelancer who specializes in offering administrative, technical, or creative assistance remotely.
Who Is Virtual Assistance For?
You’re awesome – but you’re not a superhero. If you want to expand your business, it is helpful to let a VA handle your essential but non-priority work, and you can focus on what matters and stop the overwhelm.
What is The Process Like?
We first meet for a Needs Assessment call. Are we a good fit?
Then, depending on what services you require, we outline a game plan and I come up with a fee system or package.
When you decide to go ahead, we create a service agreement and plan a strategy session.
1. How do you handle passwords to access my accounts?
In most cases, the best approach is for clients to grant me admin or team access through the platform itself, which helps follow the platform’s policies and keeps your login details private. If that isn’t an option, I handle access on a case-by-case basis and use a secure password manager,
1Password, to store any shared credentials. You retain control of your accounts and can update or revoke access at any time. When our agreement ends, I remove any shared information and access provided to me.
2. Why do I need a Service Agreement?
As with any working relationship, it’s helpful to clearly outline roles, responsibilities, and expectations from the start to avoid misunderstandings. I provide a professional service, and a Service Agreement helps protect both you and me.
3. What are the benefits of outsourcing?
When you outsource your administrative support, it saves money for you. Since I am not an employee, you are not responsible for paying employee taxes, benefits, or insurance. As this is a remote service, you do not need to find office space or provide equipment.
4. But can't I just do it myself?
You might be able to, yes. But that doesn’t always mean it makes the most sense. Your energy is valuable and spending it on tasks that don’t light you up can take you away from your clients, your business, and the space you need for yourself, your family, and your friends.
5. I have a hard time letting go.
I understand. Your business is personal, and handing pieces of it over to someone else can feel like a big step. You want to know it will be handled with the same care and attention you would give it yourself. Only you know when you’re ready, but I care deeply about my clients and make sure anything I take on reflects your voice, your values, and your approval.
